Dr. Philip Tam was recently invited by the American Psychiatric Association’s International Working Group, to join their DSM 5 committee looking into ‘internet gaming disorder’. The DSM 5 is the latest edition of the mental health classification manual, and includes the emerging diagnosis of ‘internet gaming disorder’. This working group recently prepared a key paper on how to measure and classify this disorder, and can be found in our ‘For Professionals’ section.
