Manningham YMCA - North Melbourne, Victoria

Manningham YMCA has been assisting gamers in a range of programs and activities including a therapeutic group program that seeks to establish a better balance between gaming and real life for problem gamers. Participation in this group program increases social and community connections, improves mental wellbeing and supports parents in dealing with problematic video game use at home.

Participants meet as a group weekly, and a Mental Health Professional will assess whether individual counselling would be beneficial. The course runs over a period of 20 weeks.

More information on Video Games and its impact on children can be found on www.videogames.org.au

South Pacific Private

At South Pacific Private, we understand that the Internet is a wonderful resource for the world but for some people it becomes a pathway to problems. Internet Addiction Disorder is a condition where a person spends excessive time, effort and/or money in pursuing compulsive online activities.  We are located in the northern-beaches Sydney suburb of Curl Curl.

Sometimes there are underlying issues that have contributed to the development of the addiction, such as depression and anxiety problems.
